Young Volunteer Training Day

As part of our Young Volunteer Programme we have an annual training day.  This May, 19 of our Young Volunteers from across the county joined us at the University of Gloucestershire to learn more about being a Play Ranger and how to advocate for play.

Discussions about the barriers to play and how they can be broken down as well as practical ways of advocating for play were mixed in with sessions on the Play Work Principles, Article 31 of the UNCRC, time to play and make new friends as well as Reflective Practice and what that involves.  Old friends were reunited and new friendships were formed throughout the day.

Each of these Young Volunteers took time out of their busy lives to take one more step along their journey as a Play Gloucestershire Young Volunteer.
