Thanks to funding from the Postcode Local Trust we have been able to create a therapeutic outdoor play space in the heart of Gloucester which we have called The Play Sanctuary.
A grant of £11,640 has enabled us to transform a disused space into a lovely safe and nurturing therapeutic play garden space providing disadvantaged children and families with a space for adventures, friendship and fun for many years to come. The space features a mud kitchen, den building area, fire pit, sand pit and a structure for hammocks and swings. Both our Play Rangers and our Pets As Therapy dogs will provide emotional support for children, to help them better copy with adversity and build resilience. The Play Sanctuary will be officially opened in 2020.
