One of our favourite places to play is on the army camp at South Cerney. Home to 29th Regiment Royal Logistics Corps, we take our special brand of outdoor play on to the base, encouraging local children, young people and families to ‘Get Out and Play!’ with us.

As we drive through the family estate, doors open and kids shout ‘Play Rangers!’ running on to the green space behind the house. As always our funding is stop-start, but we keep finding ways of coming back. Our most recent sponsor was Councillor Clive Bennett and Cotswold District Council. This grant enabled us to provide summer play days and autumn after school sessions as well. The sessions have been really well attended by children and parents, and help these military families to meet up, make friends and have fun. Life is tough for these kids, with frequent moves around the world and a weekly dose of our therapeutic outdoor play is really good for them.

Our thanks to Councillor Bennett for supporting this project. Here he is presenting the cheque to Team PG!
