We were thrilled to be invited to meet HRH Prince Charles at the celebration of the official opening of Gloucester Services. This is the most amazing project, that brings together fabulous architecture, delicious food, jobs for local people and donates money to Gloucestershire charities. We are one of the key charity partners, and we had the chance to tell HRH how we support Gloucestershire children through the power of outdoor play. HRH chatted to our Young Volunteers, asking about their role and why they gave up so much of their time to help others. He also met Team Leader Katie, still on maternity leave and her baby daughter Eva. After HRH left, we tucked into a delicious buffet, and our Young Volunteers were adventurous enough to try wild boar sausage rolls, accompanied by live jazz. Not your average day in the school summer holidays!
